The Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney's core mission is to protect the community and to ensure justice when enforcing the law. The primary objective of our office is to vigorously prosecute criminal cases, but also to engage in community crime prevention partnerships that aid in obtaining positive outcomes for victims and long-term solutions for defendants, potential defendants, and the community at large. As leaders in law enforcement, the attorneys, Victim Witness Advocates, and support staff work in collaboration with the police and other partners to improve police-community relationships and to build trust in the criminal justice system.
