Born out of a lifelong passion for aviation and racing cars, the business founders laid down the foundations of Retro in 1987. With the aim of becoming a substitute for lost wartime OEM's, Retro is now unrivalled, offering high-quality engineering expertise. We've built up an enviable reputation as a world-leading facility for the repair and overhaul of vintage aircraft piston engines from all the major manufacturers of the WW2 era. VMC's utilising the latest CAD-CAM software for 3,4 & 5 axis machining together with in-cycle gauging and tool setting. Turning Centres programmed both offline & conversationally, high speed repeatable production with bar fed & volume parts catching capability. High precision surfaces finished using Internal, External, Profile & Form Grinding.
