We research and develop systemic solutions for a CO2-free energy supply using the example of Thuringia. ZO.RRO explicitly addresses small and medium-sized enterprises in manufacturing industries, trade and the energy sector in Thuringia and entire Germany with an interest in supporting the project in the research, development and testing of flexibility options on the industry side and thus contribute to the energy transition. The research work conducted under the consortium leadership of the Technische Universität Ilmenau could serve as a model for other regions in Germany in the future. Therefore enterprises throughout the nation will be involved in the field test starting in fall 2022, testing ZO.RRO concepts and tools.
