Our experience when dealing with most of the software designs and architectures is that they are either designed based on the knowledge, understanding, comfort levels of in-house development team or Contactors or out sourced firm or a process that was bought into the system as an envy (example Micro services envy). This space will lead into inadequate solution that cannot sustain future requirements and becomes a maintenance liability and more over it will not be a good fit for the purpose. Sometimes a good Solution can be ruined partially or completely by wrong choice of technologies or tech stack and results into Project's budget explosion and ultimately half done job.
