The All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC) is an NHS Wales organisation that works with patients, carers and patient organisations, healthcare professionals, the pharmaceutical industry, Welsh Government and relevant UK wide organisations, to advise on new medicines and make sure medicines are used effectively and appropriately in Wales.Our work focuses on:• Medicines optimisation• Assessment of new medicines• Analysing trends in prescribing and improving the use of medicines in Wales• Improving medicines safety• Reporting serious suspected side effects of medicines (adverse drug reactions)• Education and training for healthcare professionals and public and patient groups• Toxicology services• Specialist clinical services (e.g. management of hypertension and suspected adverse reactions to medicines)• Horizon scanning
