Founded in March 2004, Allied China Europe Society (ACES) is a not for profit organisation. Our mission is to promote co-operation across various sectors including culture, business and education between European countries and China. Our Honourary President is Lord Tim Clement-Jones, who is also Deputy Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on China. Firmly grounded in Europe and China, ACES has built up strong relationships with various government bodies, trade associations and regulatory bodies including the City of London, Westminster Council, Birmingham City Council and Asia House, as well as China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Beijing Municipal Government.We promote cultural exchange between European countries and China by organising cross-border events. For example, on 24th June 2013, we organised the Midsummer Banquet for UK professionals and brands and VIP guests from China. The event provided networking opportunities for UK professionals and their Chinese counterparts and also raised donations for charities including Battle Back and the Concordia Foundation. In China, on 9th April 2011, we organised ‘River Cities' concert with artists from the Concordia Foundation and Shanghai Symphony Orchestra at the Shanghai Concert Hall, in the presence of the Lord Mayor of London, Michael Bear.
