Hi there! We are Jess and Sangeeta and we welcome you to our world, ‘Aloof'. Most people associate being "aloof" with a negative connotation – no, not us. For us, it's about being in your own world and just being you – unapologetically! Be aloof – Be you. If our vision could be put into a sentence, it would be a special quote from Marylin Monroe: "better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring'. We've all heard of Marylin Monroe's "better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring" and we couldn't have put it better! The inception of our product began when shopping for Christmas jumpers just wasn't much fun anymore. For years, we kept seeing the same recycled styles and concepts and it was time someone did something about it. We began our own quest to create a Christmas jumper with one objective; to maximise the fuzzy feeling inside. ENTER miniature amigurumi! For those of you who don't know – that's a type of crochet. This was our defining light bulb moment! Lots of sweat, laughter and butterflies later, we locked down our idea and brought the idea of a 3D Christmas jumper to life. Our concept is simple, one high-quality jumper made of intricately selected wool and delicate fibres, each adorned with ample hand-knit Christmas themed crochet. We wanted to create jumpers with our fun characters designed by us and also give you the power to make your own! I mean, come on, does it get more festive than that?! Each crochet has been hand-knitted and put together. Can you imagine? That's why you will never find any two of them completely identical. That's the beauty of them! We have always wanted to do something different by solving a problem that we faced ourselves. Our motto is to empower and inspire people with our designs.
