We are part of Ashoka - the worldwide network of leading social entrepreneurs providing system-changing solutions to global social challenges. Beginning with the first Ashoka Fellows elected in India in 1981, Ashoka has grown to an association of over 3,300 Fellows in over 70 countries. Ashoka builds and cultivates a community of change leaders who see that the world now requires everyone to be a changemaker. Together, we collaborate to transform institutions and cultures worldwide so they support changemaking for the good of society.Since 2007, Ashoka Ireland has elected 15 of Ireland's leading social entrepreneurs as Ashoka Fellows. Our Fellows have models that are globally unique and high impact; they are working on areas ranging from empowering older people and the disabled, ending starvation in Africa, providing global free education, to building a mass movement of food growers.
