Our mission is to rescue abused, abandoned, and neglected horses and other animals. Aster Ranch was created to address the urgent need for rescue services and equine public education. We are an all-volunteer organization, operating solely on the donations given through the generosity of compassionate and caring people. We have had hundreds of neglect cases over the years. As we don't receive any government funds, we rely heavily on the generosity of the public for funds to care for our horses and other animals. We rely on donations and fundraising to care and keep our animals safe. Your help in the form of donations and volunteering will always be needed. Aster Ranch is a No-Kill Shelter! We could not provide our vital services without YOU!!We are dedicated to providing rehabilitation and adoption services for abused, neglected, abandoned and unwanted horses. Caring for these precious souls is financially taxing and we are always in need of funding for feed, medical, farrier care, suppliers, services and facility improvements. Aster Ranch is funded by private donations and fundraisers. We could not exist nor function without the support of amazing donors and volunteers. After a lifetime of helping where we could, and going to clients and working with their horses, we decided that we wanted to not only help horses, but use our horses to give back to the community and help children as well. This is when the partnerships with child-centered organizations came in. We formed our non-profit organization, with horses becoming our primary concern, and training them to have a purpose in life. We have found that owners are much more apt to keep their horses, if they have a skill. We teach them to handle a rider, and sometimes, we traing them to pull a cart, we teach them tricks and liberty training, and we make 100% sure that they are kid-safe, husband-safe, and nothing will phase them.
