Autism Achievement Academy

MISSION STATEMENT - To become a premier year-round educational facility focusing on intensive, early intervention therapies, research, and overall improvement for children affected by autism in Knoxville and the surrounding region.BUILDING SIZE - Initially 3,000 to 5,000 sq ft. The five-year plan will be looking towards a facility ranging from 100,000 to 300,000 sq ft to align with our long-term goal of helping a vast number of children diagnosed with autism regionally.PRIMARY RECIPIENT OF SERVICES - Initially children in preschool to kindergarten who are already professionally diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Through a five-year plan we will be working diligently to grow with the initial group of children and adding the higher grades as they progress.MAINSTREAMING - "Therapy today so we do not have to do therapy tomorrow" will be one of the cornerstones and founding principles for this academy. The goal for all autism therapy and treatments is to do them early, intensive, and in an individual manner that works best for the child. That way, as soon as possible, they will be on the same level as typically-developing children and can mainstream back into a traditional school or learning environment. The custom assessment for each child will determine the best course of action for each child. The time required will vary for each child.THERAPY PROVIDED - Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, various forms of Communication Therapy, Socialization, Imitation, Play, Daily Living and Motor Skills.
