BonjourBonjour is a dating application for smartphones marketing itself as a local socializing service. With social content and people ranked according to geographic rather than social proximity, it allows members to instantly browse things to do or people to meet in their area. The business model is freemium with members paying for unlimited friend requests (Bonjours) and premium features (who checked me out, see without being seen, access to popular members). Recently launched in Paris, France the app (iOS only so far) is growing to the tune of 18% per month with 30,8% active users and 26,18 opens/active user/month. Monetization will be introduced in 2014 as the app achieves critical mass.
