ByaTeacher.com is a web based community market for teachers to provide services, such as tutoring, petcare, childcare, lawncare, etc. directly to community members. 21% of teachers in Colorado hold second jobs in order to earn enough income to support thier families. We believe a first step towards changing this paradigm is to make it easier for communities to support thier teachers and to make it easier for teachers to earn this suplementary income. We also actively support increasing teacher compensation through our "Teaching Pays" pool, and also through donating 2% of each transaction to local PTA/PTO organizations to help strengthen the schools in our communities.
