Chilton Auto Body has been the San Francisco Peninsula's first choice for collision repair for more than 40 years. Since 1969, the Chilton family has been taking care of the San Francisco Bay Area's auto body repair needs.Chilton Auto Body was founded by Charles Chilton in San Mateo in 1969. A big part of growing the company was bringing his son, Mike, into the business in 1984. Nine years after that, and after nearly a quarter of a century of growth, he relocated the shop to a new facility at its present location in San Carlos in 1993. In 2003, under Mike's leadership, Chilton Auto Body added a second location to serve customers on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Rafael. A San Francisco location was added in 2004 and the Burlingame location was opened in 2007. Chilton Auto Body currently has 75 employees and repairs nearly 5,000 cars a year. Over the past 40 years, we have repaired more than 25,000 cars. More important, we have made friends.
