We are based in Fourways, Johannesburg, South Africa and a...Capacity and Development Services (CAPDEV) is a multidisciplinary organisational entity committed to contributing to Africa's development by providing support through capacity building, development strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, development management and coordination to institutions working on development issues in Africa. We are based in Fourways, Johannesburg, South Africa and are engaged on continent-wide development issues in Africa; collaborating and supporting the lead work of Africa's key continental organisations as well as international/United Nations systems, partner organizations, and Civil Society/ Non-Governmental organisations.The key focus areas of our work involve the following:i. Provision of development and capacity support services to development entities. This involves for example, strategic planning, capacity building, institutional development/organisational reviews (including re-profiling), content and process facilitation of development work initiatives and processes, conferences and workshops.ii. Handling work on development programmes and projects – in terms of Design, Formulation, Implementation strategies, Reviews, Monitoring and Evaluation.iii. Providing substantive inputs, as may be required, for organizational evaluation, strategic development processes, policy dialogue, development management, coordination, funding and partnerships in Africa.iv. Promoting and supporting the implementation of the Capacity Development Strategic Framework (CDSF) in Africa and related initiatives such as the Africa Platform for Development Effectiveness (APDev).v. Generating innovative development ideas and designing programme implementation approaches. Work in this area is buttressed by a particular interest in new development paradigms in Africa, promoting grassroots level development, increasing opportunities for youth capacity building and access to development information; as well as designing poverty alleviation strategies, including through grassroots wealth creation/small and medium entrepreneurial initiatives. vi. Design and support advocacy frameworks on development issues.vii. Managerial capacity enhancement, performance training and team building expertise sourcing (including screening and interview processes), staff development training and mentoring.
