An independent day school providing a liberal education to boys and girls from four to eighteen, Cokethorpe occupies 150 acres of glorious West Oxfordshire parkland, just ten miles from metropolitan Oxford, nestled on the edge of the Cotswolds' renowned serenity.Academic ambition is evident throughout the School. Whether exploring the natural world of the Forest School in the Junior School, questioning and developing their knowledge in the Senior School or acquiring study and independent research skills to help achieve their goals in the Sixth Form, Cokethorpe's through-school model ensures there is something to help every pupil strive and succeed. We offer 22 GCSE subjects and 25 A Level subjects, providing a huge choice for pupils to tailor their education. Pupils are supported in making the right choices to fulfil their future ambitions. We also offer an excellent BTec Business course for students seeking a more applied route to university or with a flair for entrepreneurship. With some 160 extra-curricular activities that take place throughout the school day, from origami and Russian to golf and astronomy, you cannot fail to discover new skills, knowledge, hobbies and passions. The Junior School enjoys the character of the Mansion House and the Senior School makes excellent use of purpose built academic blocks that sit around spacious quads. It is the facilities beyond the classrooms that provide a unique experience for our pupils. Within the grounds there are shooting ranges, a climbing tower, a nine-hole golf course, wooded areas for outdoor education and a kitchen garden as well as a boat house on the nearby River Thames used for kayaking.Twitter: @CokethorpeSchFacebook: Cokethorpe School
