DalTurk Dalhousie Turkic Society was ratified as a General Interest Society in 2017 under the Dalhousie Student Union, which is the official representative of students at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Our mission is to spark collaboration and communication among our members by utilizing various resources and resolve commonly confronted issues.Our vision is to minimize the non-university responsibilities of our members and maximize the benefits, they could gain from their university experience.DalTurk is a continuation of the Dalhousie University Turkish Student Society and aims to build on its legacy. The three significant differences from its predecessor are:Focus: Internal focus on promoting the success of it is members, instead of attempting to represent the Turkish culture to external parties.Coverage: Covering not only current students but also instructors and former students to establish a broader network with more connections and thus higher cumulative knowledge.Target: Targeting not only Turks from Turkey but Turkics as an ethnolinguistic group, which are represented by the Turkic Council. These nations are Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan.This page is not intended for communication.
