Empower strives to promote advocacy, activism and awareness across campus with a focus in feminism. Our goal is to create a safe and powerful space for students to express themselves through fun, engaging and diverse events. Not only do we want to enhance interaction amongst students, but also meaningful discourse in the form of debate and discussion. We want to appeal to all students at the University of Calgary, no ethnic, political, gender, sexuality or religious background is favoured in an attempt to increase representation and decrease bias. Feminism is not exclusive to only women and we want to promote that incessantly.
