The Enhanced Learning Tutoring Initiative (ELTI) works with students across East Lothian and Midlothian, providing one-to-one and small group tutoring sessions.ELTI was set up in 2020 as an emergency intervention to provide support for pupils who were adversely affected by the Covid-19 restrictions. Funded by the STV Children's Appeal and a local charity in East Lothian, and coordinated by Queen Margaret University, the project initially targeted eligible pupils in the six secondary schools in East Lothian, providing one-to-one and small group tutoring sessions online from the week beginning 18th January 2021.The initiative supported over 200 eligible S3 to S6 pupils across East Lothian in its first year.
