We have created a cloud-based financial management software for startup-companies.Managing a company through a high growth trajectory requires thorough financial planning and disciplined reporting. In 2014, Finpilot was built to solve a challenge the founder has encountered in his capacity as business angel and board member of young technology companies – building financial plans on Microsoft Excel. Although by far the most common approach, it falls short in a number of critical requirements: Firstly, while a first financial model is built very quickly and effectively, extending and maintaining it throughout a number of business cycles quickly becomes a nightmare.Secondly, because reporting progress, i.e. analyzing the deltas between reality and the plan, is close to impossible without a more integrated real-time approach.Finpilot has been developed with a clear focus on helping entrepreneurs plan their business and on giving investors the tool to keep track of their companies. Finpilot has stood the test of many engagements in selected portfolio companies and is now available to a broader audience.
