This organization was started in October 2003 by agroup of business and property owners in downtownLigonier. The purpose of this group is to create aninterest in the revitalization and restoration of thedowntown and surrounding area. Our beautiful Main Street and downtown have beendesignated a National Historic District since 1978. Wehave also joined with the Historic LandmarksFoundation of Indiana and Region 3A. We feel the time has come to do all we can topreserve and improve the beauty and history of thisarea, making it worthwhile for businesses to locate inthese buildings. Profitable businesses not only create jobs and addconvenience to the community, but also generate taxrevenue which benefits the entire community. As a nonprofit organization, we seek funding fromdonations, memberships, grants, and fundraising toaccomplish our goals. We invite you to join us!
