They were missing an important piece. 80% of insomnia comes from a high sympathetic arousal - our brain's survival mechanism designed to suspend sleep in times of stimulation and stress. Also called the fight or flight mode. Chronic insomnia kicks in when we remain in this state of high arousal for a long time. Somatic work when combined with lifestyle changes help us shift into a state of rest and repair. Our circadian rhythm is thus regulated. This is the work I do. My name is Gayatri.
