I am Laihin J. Cheung. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice since 1989. I received my MSW degree from the University of Maryland in 1984. My practice is located in Sunnyvale, CA. In addition to English, I speak Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese.I enjoy working with many types of clients including children (starting at age 10), adolescents, adults and seniors. I provide therapy designed to enhance coping skills, communication skills, stress management and relief from PTSD. I draw on my training in cognitive behavioral therapy; solution-focused short term therapy; energy psychology and Laihin's Trauma Cleansing Therapy to provide an individualized treatment plan for each client.
