HEART in Haiti is a community centered school in function since after the 2010 earthquake. Locally, it is called the Ecole Mixte de Sibert or the Co-Ed School of Sibert. Since it's opening, HEART has added a class of students every year from the impoverished surrounding areas to the town of Sibert, Croix des Bouquets. For the 2018-2019 school year, enrollment has grown to 179 students, from grades preschool to eighth grade. We are building a community of future leaders for Haiti.Mission* To educate each child at Ecole Mixte de Sibert. Co-ed School of Sibert in Creole, French, English, mathematics, music, art, history, geography, science with innovation to reach all learning styles. * To encourage family involvement with the children's education, school meals, uniforms and school events. * Enabling families to become self-supporting, improving living conditions for themselves and their children with initiatives such as the animal program and vocational training.* To purchase services and products from Haiti whenever possible which will strengthen the local economy
