HRC Europe AS, founded in 1979 as Metalock Industrier AS, is a company within HRC-group (Headed Reinforcement Corporation).HRCs focus-product, T-headed bars, was developed to solve design and detailing issues. The first T-headed bars were supplied to the Oseberg offshore platform in the Norwegian sea in 1985.Soon, it was discovered that the use of HRC T-headed reinforcement had a significant impact on the construction process, with shortened construction time and improved working conditions, due to easy and fast handling and installation.An analysis during the construction of an offshore oil platform showed that installation of T-headed bars was 5 to 6 times faster than for traditional bend stirrups. Further, one 25mm HRC T-head bar replaced 4 conventional 16mm- stirrups.HRC supplies to all types of projects all over the world.
