Habitat 4 Paws is an animal rescue group in the DFW area whose mission is to operate an animal which rescues animals primarily from municipal shelters and provides responsible care until they are adopted into quality homes. The mission of H4P is to rescue and find permanent homes for dogs and cats while caring for them in a foster based program with rescue based partners. Beyond just sheltering animals, we want to be proactive in other areas that will help keep animals out of municipal shelters. Paws Pantry animal-food bank collects and distributes dog and cat food to those in need. H4P hosts microchip clinics so that animals will have a permanent ID and can be reunited with their owners.There are many reasons why animals end up homeless or in shelters that euthanize. Habitat 4 Paws will be proactive in addressing some of these issues the Paws Pantry Program to help provide food for animals otherwise destined for a shelter, along with future scheduled events such as public awareness seminars, microchip clinics and training classes. It is the goal of Habitat 4 Paws to do what we can to help the helpless animals in our community.
