Stained Glass and other things by Alan BakerIn 1995 he was invited by the International Research Centre of Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA and based in Istanbul) to exhibit his work at the Museum of Modern Art in Cairo, where he also presented a paper to the International Conference on the subject of Mushrabiyya and Stucco Stained Glass. He was again invited by IRCICA to exhibit stained glass work and present a paper on the theme of the Arabesque to the International Conference held in Damascus in 1997. Later that year he was invited to feature on a television programme (Sabah TV) in Istanbul, where he was interviewed and showed examples of his work.
