Users rate any and every beer they try, and Hops uses this information to churn out a personalized list of beer suggestions based on each user's specific tastes and preferences. Stats such as beer style, alcohol content, and IBU are taken into account when formulating each user's taste profile, and the app is location-specific, to ensure that all recommended selections are actually available in the user's geographic vicinity. When viewing beer selections from local breweries, users are provided not only with informative profiles of each beer, but also with a percentage likelihood that that beer will appeal to their specific taste.
