Hotspots is a social big data mobile app that crowdsources people’s location and movements anonymously. Hotspots presents users with a map of the busiest locations around them so they can make more informed decisions about the places they visit. Hotspots users provide their age and gender on first download to use the app. Users of the app can see the number of people at surrounding locations (shops, restaurants, bars, popular landmarks etc.).
