This mission of HSSM is to save and enhance the lives of pets through cooperative and innovative approaches to adoption, spay/neuter, sheltering and community engagement.The Humane Society of South Mississippi:•Is a 41,000 square-foot, completely air-conditioned shelter •Has the ability to house 300+ dogs and cats •Receives nearly 8,000 homeless pets each year •Has full-time veterinarian services for shelter animals with an on-site spay/neuter clinic •Is identified nationally as a "Leader in Animal Welfare in South Mississippi" •Is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization and receives no funding from the government or any national group. The Humane Society of South Mississippi relies 100% on funding from individuals, like you, who care. Every dollar is carefully spent to help homeless pets.
