Indians In Winnipeg is a group started by Achal Khanna. When he came to Winnipeg for the first time, he was very nervous and had lot of questions in his mind. He had come alone like many others and had to find his own way and find answers to questions that were hard sought. He didn't have anybody staying here who he knew that could answer his questions like, How is his college? Where would he be staying? Is there any Indian Community around? etc.So now with this website or the facebook page Indians In Winnipeg tries to get interactive with all the students, locals, and even foreign people coming here in Winnipeg and try to answer their questions. Our team is well situated in the heart of Winnipeg now. From time to time, we organize cultural shows and festivals and try to build onto the Indian Community already present in Winnipeg. It is our goal to enhance awareness and try to help those in any way possible that were once, like him, embarking on a journey to a new land with high hopes and great dreams.We are not dealing with any monetary terms to promote or do any advertising here. It's just a social networking tool which helps each other in finding jobs, renting homes, letting people know about the upcoming events in the town etc. The name says it all, "Indians In Winnipeg", but we do not restrict access to anyone else. People/representatives of any different nationalities are most welcome to join and participate.
