In January 1990, Munir Wahhab which is reinsurance veteran since 1974 in Sydney, Athens and Jordan has formed Australia Insurance Services Ltd.During the years the company thrived to expand and establish a regional market share offering insurance and reinsurance solutions to considerable number of financial, economical institutions and insurance companies who faithfully authorized JoAustralia to discuss terms, conditions & arrange programmes with international reinsurance markets including Lloyd's Brokers and Syndicates. It flourished on the basis of its outstanding reputation and words-of-mouth between the satisfied clients leading to the generation of newer clients.JoAustralia adopted the camel and kangaroo in its corporate identity which represents the connection of Jordan and Australia.In 2001, the company name Australia Insurance Services Ltd. was replaced by JoAustralia Reinsurance Brokers.In 2007 JoAustralia acquired 40% share of Multi Risk Brokers in France, practicing as an international reinsurance brokers from the head office in Paris, branch in London and MENA representative office in Amman.In 2008, JoAustralia acquired 100% of the portfolio of Seahorse Insurance Brokers in Cyprus with a portfolio spreading all over the MENA region.
