John Evans Supportive Living is Pekin's affordable assisted lifestyle community. The community, which is designed to serve adults 65 and older of all incomes who need some help to maintain their independence, is located south of Peoria and southwest of Morton.The community opened in April 2007 and is managed by Gardant Management Solutions, the largest provider of affordable assisted living in Illinois.John Evans Supportive Living was developed and is owned by the Laborers Home Development Corporation, a not-for-profit affordable housing developer associated with the Midwest Region of the Laborers' International Union.
