Sigma Alpha is a professional agricultural sorority existing in many colleges across America. Founded in 1987 at The Ohio State University, five young women wanted an alternative to the social sorority system. They desired a group of women to bond with over their mutual passion of agriculture. Within the organization, there are four pillars our women strive to elevate: scholarship, leadership, fellowship and service. Since 1987, Sigma Alpha has a sisterhood spanning across the nation to include nearly 100 chapters; including the Alpha Omega Chapter at Kansas State University. Together, we are steadily learning and growing together in agriculture.
