The Fund will provide funding, industry connections and guidance to early-stage entrepreneurs as they conduct the initial research and/or development needed to validate their technology and its fit in the marketplace. The KC Nexus Fund team brings the sophistication, diligence and industry connectivity of later-stage investors to life science seed investing. The Fund will utilize Advisory Committees comprised of animal and human health research and development executives from leading regional companies to identify and assess technologies. These R&D leaders will also provide insight and guidance on technology development plans ensuring that funded companies conduct the right studies in the right manner to answer the questions critical to funders and industry. Fund management will also provide active mentoring to entrepreneurs as they build their companies, develop business plans and prepare to raise capital.
