Originally formed in 1944 as Kimbro Electric, the Kimbro family offered electrical services and heat pumps until the mid-50′s, when central heat and air conditioning hit the local market. In 1972 Bobby Kimbro, who had worked in the family business since he was 12 years old, bought out his father, MP Kimbro's company.While Bobby's business grew and expanded across the country, Bobby's son Derek followed in his father's footsteps and began working in the heating and air field throughout his high school years. Derek took over Bobby's existing Yellow Pages ad that he had run for over 18 years in 1996, and he opened Kimbro Services.By 2004, Derek had been so successful in his own right that he purchased the Kimbro Air company from his father Bobby – just as Bobby had done 32 years before him with MP Kimbro's company. Today, father and sons work together to bring a lifetime of heating and air experience into your home – along with some of the most trusted names in home comfort, American Standard, Daikin and Mitsubishi. Ricky Kimbro, Derek's brother, runs the HVAC shop and Derek is the residing President of Kimbro Air.
