It all began with a family in 1972. Dot and Ralph Egli were the young couple on the mountain in Gatlinburg often delivering groceries, and newspapers on snow-filled days to their few neighbors. Many seasonal residents asked Dot and Ralph to keep their keys when they were out of town asking, "While we're gone could you rent our home?"
