The National School of Administration (SNA) is the institution of the Italian Republic that selects and trains managers and civil servants of the Public Administration. SNA promotes and supports development, excellence, public service ethics and the PA innovation process and, with a European and international outlook, carries out coordination, recruitment, higher education, analysis and research.Founded in 1957 as an integral part of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, following the establishment of the Single System of Public Recruitment and Training the SNA (formerly SSPA) since 2014 has taken on its current name, assuming the functions of the Higher School of Economics and Finance, the "Mario Toscano" Diplomatic Institute, the Higher School of the Interior Administration, the Defense Training Center and the Higher School of Statistics and Social and Economic Analysis.Among its main functions:- the selection and training of public management through a constant and highly competitive recruitment channel;- the provision of training for public employees including through specialized training courses aimed at fostering strategic planning and implementing reforms: from new accounting to technological innovation, from corruption prevention to the foundational skills of a public administration;- the strengthening and innovation of teaching methodologies for the definition of long life learning models in order to ensure the training demand of public administrations;- in a perspective of exchange of best practices between international institutions for the development of good governance actions around the world, the provision of training courses for foreign civil servants, managers and diplomats, including through partnerships with networks of international schools and institutions working in the field of PA and public management
