Operating under the State of New Mexico, Public School Facilities Authority (PSFA) is responsible for providing support and oversight in administering all funding related facilities assessments, planning, procurement, design, and construction. According to state statute, "to ensure that, through a standards-based process for all school districts, the physical condition and capacity, educational suitability and technology infrastructure of all public school facilities in New Mexico meet an adequate level statewide and the design, construction and maintenance of school sites and facilities encourage, promote and maximize safe, functional and durable learning environments…" The PSFA endeavors to foster successful student learning, to involve active community participation in all functions it serves, and to assist policymakers and New Mexico taxpayers with current and accurate financial and technical school facilities-related information and recommendations.
