OTOH is the project previously known as OTTO made by Luca De Rosso as a thesis project at IUAV University of Venice, April 2009.After a year spent touring the project at several events and conferences in different countries and thanks to the continuos support form people asking about updates or just about the chance to get a unit, I made the decision to give a chance to OTTO as an open source project.There are many reasons behind this choice but definitely the first one is that beside designing this device, sketching it on paper and wondering if things would work or not, I would never been able to build the first prototype, and test myself if things were really working or not, without the help coming from the open source world and its communities. Having a prototype also helped me to show much better my project and to get impressions from people all around the world, and because of this I believe that the less that I can do is to redistribute back this little knowledge with the hope to share something useful. Then this website wants first to host an open source project and second to give the chance to those who just want to play with it to get one and mess up all their samples.
