In 2018, the investigative feature "1979 - THE SIEGE OF MECCA" (https://mecca1979.com) became our most ambitious documentary project yet: a high profile investigation into a pivotal yet still unknown event of modern history that has impacted global relations ever since. An international coproduction of broadcasters and institutions in Germany, France and the USA, the film attempts to build a missing link to a tipping point in history - that might decipher the turmoil of our present time.In 2019 we followed up with "1979 - Big Bang of the Present", a roller-coaster documentary into the many events and new protagonists bursting into existence in 1979 that made those 12 dramatic months the starting point of our current era. Our extraordinary witnesses reveal the pivotal shifts in politics, economics and religion that were promoted by Pope John Paul II, Margaret Thatcher, Deng Xiaoping and Ayatollah Khomeini.
