At Oh Be Joyful, we are giving a new life to old rafts and leftover raft material, one bag at a time. The rafting industry has been growing year after year, and with that, the number of boats destined for the landfill has gone up. As a group of students, boaters and outdoor enthusiasts we sought to change this pattern. The result of our search is Oh Be Joyful's Sunny Gunny Satchel. At Oh Be Joyful, we believe in doing what's right and protecting our wild places. A portion of profit from each bag sold will be donated to organizations dedicated to cleaning and protecting our rivers and streams. The satchel has storage compartments that fit the needs of the modern customer, including cell phone, laptop, and beverages. It is strong, stylish, and most importantly made from 95 percent upcycled material. Instead of paying the landfill to dispose of their rafts, rafting companies can reduce their environmental impact by donating their used-up rafts to us saving thousands of pounds of waste from entering the waste management facilities.
