Olympia Area Rowing (OAR) is a rowing club in Olympia, Washington, USA. OAR's mission is to promote and provide competitive and recreational rowing for adults and youth in the local community, fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, athleticism, and camaraderie.We currently have over 75 adult (master rowers) and more than 60 high school students participating in a Junior Rower Program. The club offers classes for beginning rowers, coached competitive programs for high school students and adults, and access to OAR boats and other rowing equipment.We row year-round on Budd Inlet on the southern end of Puget Sound. The club has several organized adult programs with scheduled practice times, and a very active youth program.Individual scullers are free to row during daylight hours at their convenience.
