"One Library Per Village"(OLPV) is non profit organisation dedicated for reducing the digital divide by networking the libraries and empowering the readers with latest technological tools.Around the world, in developed as well as developing countries, Libraries play an important role in the dissemination of knowledge. The availability of information resources can often mean the difference between poverty and prosperity, particularly in underdeveloped communities.A library is not a building stacked with books – it is a repository and source of information and ideas, a place for learning and inquiry, and for the generation of thought and the creation of new knowledge. Public libraries in particular have the potential to bridge the gap between the ‘information poor' and the ‘information rich' by ensuring that people from all sectors and settings of society and the economy across world have easy access to knowledge they seek.
