Opeagle is a play on OpEd or Opinion Editorial. We replaced the "Ed" with Eagle because the Eagle is the freest flying bird and is considered by many cultures as a symbol of freedom. So, at OpEagle you have the liberty to freely state your opinions. Freedom to voice your opinions – That's Opeagle. We offer a way for you to communicate opinions directly to public officials, popular personalities, and fellow citizens nationally and internationally about prevalent topics of the day without any interference from gatekeepers. In this way, the rest of the world, and perhaps more importantly, the public official or popular personality can read your message, unfiltered. Users libel, defame, racially vilify or bully a person at their own risk. Opeagle does not filter the messages, but fellow users will speak out against such negative speech. Opeagle does not edit, moderate, or sensor comments. We are talking freedom here! Without question we support the First Amendment of the United States Constitution and have no desire to interject our own biases into the conversation. Opeagle leaves it up to the majority to get rid of that element that the majority doesn't agree with. Our world can be awe inspiring full of hope and goodwill. Our world can also be mean, disheartening, and dangerous. We, the human race, cannot ignore this latter reality. Rather, we need to confront the bad element with, at the very least, our voices and do our part to make positive changes. Opeagle is the tool we need to do just that.
