OpenLab is building the only data sharing platform to easily share research progress within research groups and cross-group collaboration efforts at academic institutions and industry labs. Currently, researchers work in silos with infrequent feedback cycles, largely due to the organizational structure and culture of labs. Further, researchers within a lab, have little to no access to what their peers are working on because shared folders/servers do not provide useful visibility into the progress or updates of a colleague. We hope that the ability to sort and search the data streams produced on OpenLab will make this knowledge both more accessible and understandable to other researchers. Overall, our vision is to enable scientists to better share and learn from each other, and as such significantly improve the research process.
