The story of how Ordmärkt was born............During a lunch Caroline's talking about an idea that she has for her hallway at home, but before she finishes, the idea of a business was born. Caroline and Ingela immediately drew up the idea for a company, a company that would be built on meaningful pattern designs, with a unique "recipe" of familiar smiles, beauty and care, spiced with a touch of irony. Patterns that will make you smile, for the home as well as the office. The inspiration and excitement they felt led to a logo being design the very next day and they chose to call their business Ordmärkt. That is the story of how Ordmärkt was born. (Ordmärkt is Swedish and refers to things that have been marked with words.) Today Caroline and Ingela are producing their own line of home decorations as well as producing patterns for some of the leading design manufacturers in Sweden. Ordmärkt also specialise in creating patterns for external businesses to enhance their corporate identities and strengthening their brands.
