Organickid, focused on organic babywear between the ages 0 to 7, is founded by the siblings Halit and Merve Akinci.Back in 2008, Merve decided to start designing clothes for women, men and children. Growing up in a textile-oriented family, it was always Merve's passion to produce something cozy and stylish for people to enjoy wearing. So, for a couple of years, she experienced designing and selling ready-made garments in Istanbul, Turkey. With many helps of her family and the business acquaintances, she continued under the brand ‘Topkapi'.In 2013, Merve's brother, Halit wanted to focus only on organic fabric. Having both a technical and marketing background, Halit knew that Topkapi was a great fit to produce organic clothes. From cotton to finished fabric, Topkapi was few of the environmental companies in the world to produce organic fabric vertically. An innovative in its field, Topkapi achieved all the certifications it needs for producing an organic garment. So the siblings thought, ‘'Why not start already?'' Having kids of their own, both Halit and Merve, the concerned parents, wanted to focus only on babies and kids. So their brand, Organickid was born.They only focus on comfortable and affordable clothes for babies and kids.
