Origin Aqua is a UK based multi-disciplinary water technology company, developing innovative consumer and industrial products, which make our water treatment more sustainable and healthy. Originators of the market leading Mineral+Biome pool filter technology, which eliminates the need for chlorine in pools, Origin Aqua have more recently pivoted into other pressing areas of water treatment and pollutant sensing. Most recently Origin Aqua have won a £450k award from Ofwat for their FreeOx technology, developed with Cardiff University, and capable of reducing chlorine in our tap water by 80%. In additon to the Mineral+Biome and FreeOx, the business is also developing products which can autonomously sense & report nutrient spikes in our rivers and sequester phosphates from point sources, such as farms and sewerage treatment works, before these contaminate our environment.
