Orphan Development Project is an international non-profit organization working across 20 countries to help orphans get a better start in life. Our goal is to help disadvantaged children to develop a love for learning through the employment of appropriate tools and technology because an educated youngster is less likely to be exploited.We intend to accomplish this by delivering computers to orphanages to be used with specific English learning programs by the children. Our intention is not only to give the children a one time chance to gain knowledge but to also provide them with a single person (mentor) dedicated to monitoring their progress and to motivate them so as to achieve their set goals. The mentor's task is to contact regularly the orphan utilizing a computer, to be there for him/her and help him/her on his/her progress.It is not about helping orphans to learn English, but about enabling them to create long-term, enduring changes towards their future.
