We are a social impact consultancy. We help you increase your social impact through measurement, organisational redesign and innovation.MeasurementWe think it's important for social programmes to have a good understanding of their impact. This isn't a matter of cost-benefit analysis, although an accurately costed model remains important, it's about seeking an honest appraisal of the effectiveness of a programme. This needn't mean an expensive independent evaluation. It should mean instead a robust collection of information that can simply and reliably be used for measuring what a programme is doing and how well it is doing it.InnovationWe combine classical design thinking approaches to innovation with social impact measures, so that through the development process there is always a focus on impact. We use this approach in two ways: for developing new products and services, and when organisations want to inject innovation and creativity into their DNA.Organisational DesignWe focus both on individual leadership development and the design and redesign of organisational systems to ensure the capabilities and behaviours needed are hard-wired into how the organisation works. In our experience, organisational redesign needs to address both of these elements. This is because if all you do is change the capabilities of your staff, then it can be hard to fit them back into the old organisational systems; or worse, these systems force people to revert to their old behaviours. Systems which, after all, created the previous leadership culture you wanted to change. Similarly, if all you do is look at the systems, individuals themselves may become uncomfortable in the new systems or reject them because they do not support the changes.Contact: jweir@osca.co
